At the 2024 Shanghai Electronics Show in Munich, Shanghai Xinzhi Technology Group Co., Ltd. unveiled two new serial Uncoupling (SerDes) chips tailored for automotive applications: SCS5501 and SCS5502 can directly replace the MAX9295A/MAX961717 and MAX96712/MAX96722. The two chips strictly follow the MIPI A-PHY protocol standards, marking A major breakthrough in high-speed, long-distance vehicle data transmission technology, highlighting its leading position in the field.

MIPI A-PHY protocol: The transformative power of automotive data transfer

MIPI A-PHY protocol, as A high-speed data transmission interface standard designed for automobiles, its core value is to meet the ultimate pursuit of speed, distance and reliability of on-board systems. With the acceleration of the trend of automobile intelligence and network connection, the protocol provides a solid support for cutting-edge applications such as automatic driving and high-definition video surveillance with its unique technical advantages. Its data transmission rate of up to 16 Gbps, stable transmission distance of up to 15 meters, and excellent error detection and correction mechanism together build an efficient, safe and reliable data transmission environment, and promote the comprehensive upgrade of the automotive industry.

SCS5501 and SCS5502: A model of technological innovation

SCS5501 and SCS5502, as the latest works of core technology, not only perfectly inherited the core advantages of MIPI A-PHY protocol, but also achieved A new leap in performance.

The two chips support data transmission rates of up to 4Gbps and ensure stable data transmission over distances of up to 15 meters, providing an ideal data transmission solution for in-vehicle multi-camera systems, autonomous driving assistance systems, etc. At the same time, its low bit error rate, high anti-interference and anti-radiation capabilities ensure the stable transmission of video data in complex automotive environments, further improving the overall performance and safety of the system.

In addition, the SCS5501 and SCS5502 also integrate remote GPIO and AFC (Automatic Frequency Control) functions to achieve an advanced remote control experience. Users can easily remotely control the transmitter through the receiving end, which greatly broadens the application scenario and brings unprecedented convenience and flexibility to fields such as new energy vehicles.

In particular, these two Serdes products take full advantage of the power of the A-PHY protocol to achieve efficient management and power supply of sensor clusters, all through A single coaxial line can be done, greatly simplifying system wiring, reducing costs, and significantly improving the overall reliability of the system. This innovative design accurately docking the new energy vehicle industry's urgent need for high-reliability data transmission, injecting new vitality into the development of the industry.
