The door locks, windows, and mirrors of light vehicles are no longer mechanically actuated; the controls for the windows, mirrors, and seats have all become an integral part of the vehicle. Controls, such as switches, buttons, handles, or key cards, can be direct or remote. Functions such as door locking/unlocking, mirror folding/defrosting/adjusting, lighting, and seat and window adjustment can all be made from within the door control module. We offer a wide range of hybrid analogue-digital technologies with electric drive capability, enabling designers to develop customized door zone solutions for cars, trucks and SUVs.
Overview
The door control modules are located in both doors.
They manage all actuators in the driver's or passenger's door and connect directly to a separate switch panel.
The central locking, window winder and mirror adjustment are all controlled by this ECU.
Light management is also part of the function:
- Lighting or switch panel
- Lock and mirror heating status
- Entry lights
The separation from the switch panel provides greater freedom to place different components in the door.
